Next General Members Meeting is Wednesday, September 25th, starting at 7:30 PM.
We had a winner at the August meeting, so the attendance prize will be back to $50
this month and 1
name will be drawn.
And bring all of the kids to see the Birds of Prey! See the newsletter for more details!
If you're within driving distance and you want a chance at the $50
, come on up to the September meeting!
You have to be present
LSA NRA Day and Club BBQ!, Sunday Sept. 29th, starting at 8AMCost of the BBQ is $10.00/person (advance ticket purchase), $12/person at the door.
The BBQ starts at NOON and includes a drink, Half of a Chicken, Baked Potato, Salad, Roll and a Cookie!
Meals will be prepared by Master Chef JP and Chicken BBQ Connoisseur Burnett.
At the shooting venues (and for $10 per family!)
, you'll first learn gun safety and proper handling of firearms.
Then you'll have an opportunity to shoot rifles and pistols at over 100 metallic silhouettes in an Arcade style shoot. Last year the kids (oh and the "big kids" too) had so much fun that they didn't want it to end.
And if that isn't enough fun for you, you'll also get some instruction on breaking clay pigeons with a shotgun, learn about muzzleloading and trying your hand at archery.
Last but not least, we'll provide the firearms/bows and ammo/arrows too! PLUS
the pond will be open to all for fishing !!

Plate Rack locks have been changed as of November 1st !!!
The price for the yearly access key to the plates is $50. We have them on hand at the clubhouse on Sunday mornings or at the general membership meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
You must show a Life, 2018 or 2019 Range badge to purchase a plate rack key.
So if you would like to purchase a key, please see Dave Kistler or Roger Lafleur.
Members who don’t want to purchase a key can still use them on Sunday mornings for $5.00. Pay the on duty RSO to unlock them.
Non-members may use them on Sunday mornings for $10.00.
The great thing about the plate racks is, you don't have to bring targets to the range, you don't have to wait for the green flag to check your targets and you get that instant, yet satisfying/gratifying sound of the target being knocked over! Almost like shooting trap or skeet except with a handgun! Come on down to the range, bring your favorite (non-magnum) handgun and give it a whirl. You can also use .22 rifles if you don't have a handgun.

Resetting your Member password
Recently several members have had problems with resetting their member passwords.
The “problem” most of the time is that they haven’t used the whole password that is returned from the system. The temporary password will be your username which is also your email address, plus a random number. They need to be typed in as one word as shown in the email that the system sends you. Every time you reset the password, you must use the new one that the system sends you.
Don’t forget to change the password once you log in.
Also, when you log into your account you will also see your membership card if your account is paid up to date. You may also print this card if you want to laminate it. If you want it down to wallet size, you will have to try different size settings until you get it to the size you want.
Rifle range keys have changed as of July 1, 2018
You may purchase a new key from the club secretary or the gun shop on Sunday mornings. You must show your current membership card and your 2018 or 2019 Rifle Range badge. Price of the new key is still $3.00. Correct amount will be greatly appreciated.
